The right content and a strong call to action on a well-designed landing page can potentially be a profitable option for you and your business. It will allow you to promote your product or service along with collecting email addresses you can send additional content to later. It’s a great way to build your list (the most valuable asset in your business).
Create your landing page
This is where you will create your landing page and name it so you can find it in your account later in this process.
- After logging into your Constant Contact account, click on Campaigns at the top of the page.
- Click List View in top left of page.
- Click the orange Create button in the upper right.
- Select Landing Pages from the Choose A Campaign popup menu.
5. Select Lead Generation Landing Pages from the Choose A Landing Page popup menu.
6. Name your sign-up form by hovering your mouse over the title in the upper left corner until the pencil icon appears, click on the pencil icon and rename your sign-up form. A Rename Landing Page popup window will appear where you can type in the name of your landing page. Then click Save.
Add content to your page
This is where you will add your logo and customize the content on your landing page and thank you page.
- Click Content from the menu on the left side of the page. This is where you can add your logo, change the headline, add a description, and change the button text.
2. Click Thank You Page at the top of the page as shown in the image below. This is the page your new contacts will see when they enter their information in your sign-up form and click the button to submit their information.
Once you click on Thank You Page, place your cursor in the left column and scroll down to see where you enter the information for your Thank You Page.
3. Click the back arrow (not the one in your browser, but the one in the left column).
Design your landing page and thank you page
This is where you will choose the colors and fonts that match your brand.
- Select Design from the menu on the left side of the page and you will see the following screen. Here you can change your backgrounds, fonts, and accents.
2. Click the back arrow (not the one in your browser, but the one in the left column).
Choose the contact fields for your landing page.
This is where you will collect the contact information you want to collect for your business.
- Click Contact Fields on the left side of the page and you will go to the screen shown below. From here you can select all the contact details you want to capture. The email address is always required. Everything else is up to you. Keep in mind if you ask for too many details, it may keep people from filling out your form.
2. Click the back arrow (not the one in your browser, but the one in the left column).
Customize the settings for your landing page.
Almost finished. In the next few steps, you will choose the list you want your landing page sign-up form contacts to go so you can send them content later.
- Click Settings and you will see the screen below.
2. You can either select one of your existing lists by click on the down arrow to the right of Choose List or you can create a new list by clicking on the Create List button.
3. In the same column, you will also note an optional toggle to create a Custom URL or you can just use the default. Just click the toggle to create your custom URL as shown in the image below.
Publish your page.
The only thing left to do is click the blue Publish button in the upper right side of the page. Once you hit the Publish button, you will see the following screen.
In the middle of the page you will see, among other things, the list your contacts will go into when they enter their information on your new landing page and your landing page URL.
Now your landing page is live, but it will not be seen until you share it. So click on the blue Share this page button in the upper right corner. You can copy the link to share wherever you wish or click share on social to share it on your social media platforms. You can also Share with an ad.
Your landing page will show up in your Campaigns List. Click on Campaigns at the top of the page and select Landing Pages from the list on the left side of the page to see all your landing pages.
CONGRATULATIONS! You made it. You now have a landing page you can use to collect email addresses.
