Rather than write the usual business related article you receive from me every week, I decided to just write something straight from my heart. It’s just that time of year I guess. It’s the time of year when we should forget how much our time is worth per hour and just give of ourselves.
All of us have people come into our lives that impact us and our business in a positive way. They sometimes don’t intentionally set out to do this. It just happens as a result of being who they are and taking a little of their time to be a part of our life. They change us and give us a new perspective of our own lives and who we are becoming.
As we get caught up in the holiday season, it’s easy to forget the people who make our lives better in some small way. Sometimes we forget to tell these people how much they are appreciated. We tend to take them for granted and we tend to take what they do for granted.
That’s why I decided to forego the usual business article and take this time to thank all my friends who have contributed to my journey this year. I would list everyone by name but the list is too long and I’m afraid I will forget someone. But you know who you are. I would not have made it this far without you. This has been a challenging year for most of us but having you in my life has made the year so much better. I can only hope I have given you a small part of what you have given me.
Thanks to my clients who have trusted me to guide them to more success in their business. You have taught me more and given me more than you could ever know. You are very much appreciated and I look forward to working with all of you in the coming year.
Here is my challenge to everyone. Give time to your significant other. Give time to your children. Give time to your friends and family. You can always make more money but you can't get back the lost time you could have spent with the ones you love. Thank them for being a part of your life.
Take a few minutes today and make a phone call. Take a few minutes out of your day to make someone else’s day better. I know you are busy and you have to get that last minute gift, but it doesn’t take that long just to call someone and tell them you are thinking about them and you appreciate them. Let them know what they mean to you and how they’ve changed your life for the better. What better way to celebrate this wonderful season?
